I think of this as one of the worst weeds when trying to reseed an area. It germinates early crowding everything out and then waits until summer rain to produce abundant pollen and seeds. And then in the fall it can beome a tumbleweed further spreading it seeds.

Annual that becomes a tumbleweed in the winter. Taprooted with large rosette of basal leaves.
